Aztaro Reviews The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Title: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Platform: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC
Genre: First person, Third person, Action, Adventure, Sandbox
Online Interaction: Downloadable Content

Story: [I seriously didn't pay attention so I'll wing it] After a bad case of "wrong place wrong time" you are sentenced to death because of the rebellion leader, Alfred Stormcloak. Luckily for you, you're saved by a dragon and you start your adventure, killing one and finding out you are dragonborn. You now go on a quest to kill the dragons and people by screaming your head off.

Well... yeah... to much story for me... nothing against the developers but to much text, side quests, books and such it's hard to know what's relevant or not. ANYWAY after you talk to the graybeards your adventure begins, because GOSH DARN THAT MOUNTAIN. Once you do that, such a huge map, so many caves, jobs and tom-foolery to be had, even if I tend to visit lots of caves and loot more than do missions, I still like this game, I would play and if I get into it, hours will pass before I even realize that it just sucked up about 5 hours of my life. Different races, classes, jobs and stuff is nice for a roleplayer to get creative.

Rating: 77/100

Reason: Way to introduce your players "Hey go climb a mountain that will take about 2 real life hours to get to the top". Ha ha, yeah no I'm off to adventure, also the landscape is just way to mountainous, there's mountains deliberately set up so you must climb it, go around or fast travel and fast travel makes you miss A LOT of the game. If the mountins weren't such a HUGE issue, this game would be a lot more fun, like Oblivion, just PLEASE stop spawning dragons every time I exit a fast travel, PLEASE, those bones and scales aren't light you know!
